Dear Kenwood Families,

Happy Friday! As we enter October next week, we are quickly coming to the end of our 1st quarter. We are looking forward to meeting with you during our Parent Teacher conferences scheduled for October 9th and 10th. You will be receiving information from your child’s teachers about scheduling conferences and we encourage you to schedule a conference as this is a great opportunity to learn all about what your students have been learning. We also look forward to our annual Scholastic Bookfair which will be taking place in the cafeteria during Parent teacher conferences.

Kenwood Cross Country Race, Oct. 8th

October 2nd - Fall Holiday

We will not be in session on October 2nd in recognition of our Fall Holiday. Warm wishes for our Jewish families celebrating Yom Kippur on this day.

Panorama Survey Results

I had previously mentioned that our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students participated in the fall administration of the Panorama Survey. The Panorama survey measures how students perceive their Social Emotional Skills as well as students perceptions of the school environment. Our fall survey demonstrated some strengths related to student supports and environments. The greatest increase that we recognized on our survey was in the area of teacher and student relationships defined as the social connection between teachers and students within and beyond the classroom. We saw a 6% increase from the previous survey measuring 82% favorable responses. This compared nationally in the 80-99th percentile. We continue to look at ways of supporting our students and making them feel valued members of our school.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Dr. Trevor Nadrozny
