Dear Kenwood Families,
Happy Friday! We were happy to welcome back our students after our fall break. I hope you and your family were able to enjoy some down time and relax together. This past week we had much to celebrate as we enjoyed an amazing Hispanic Heritage Month assembly with special guests Mariachi Libertad who played some Mariachi songs accompanied by a reading of ‘The Best Mariachi in the World.” Thank you to Mrs. Shungu and Mrs. Markus for coordinating this fun celebration of Hispanic Heritage. It was also amazing to hear our 4th grade students perform at both assemblies. This was a wonderful celebration and a huge source of pride for our Hispanic students, staff and parents.
Kenwood PTA Trunk or Treat, Oct. 28th, 6:30-7:30pm
Our Annual Kenwood Trunk or Treat event is back! Sign up to be a Trunk, and prepare to buy as much candy as you can! This is a great event for kids and families, and definitely a favorite of everyone.

Grade Level Family Nights
This year, we are excited to bring back a family event from several years ago. We are introducing our Grade Level Family Nights that bring our families together from each of the different grades to participate in a fun activity with families and staff. Over the course of the year, we will be inviting families from each grade level to participate in an event hosted at Kenwood. We are hosting our first Family Night on Monday,October 27th for the families of 2nd grade students. We look forward to seeing you there from 6 until 7pm.
