Instructional Updates & Focus Area
As we conclude our Reading benchmark testing and wrap up Math assessments, we are using this valuable data to guide and tailor instruction for our students.
Building on our work from last year, we are renewing our focus on writing across Kindergarten through Fifth grade. Writing is vital for enabling students to express their ideas while serving as a key bridge to strengthening reading skills. To track student growth in writing purposes throughout the school year, we have established common writing prompts to be given school wide three times a year. Writing is a primary way students "Show What We Know"—our targeted learning focus—and we are excited to see their continued progress through the year.
North Parking Lot for Bus drop off and Staff Only
As a gentle reminder, the north parking lot is designated exclusively for bus drop-offs and staff vehicles. We kindly request that families refrain from using this area for student drop-off. Due to the lot's limited size, passenger cars cause significant traffic congestion alongside our buses. Most critically, when children are dropped off here, they often walk between moving buses, posing a severe safety hazard. To ensure the well-being and safety of all students, please utilize the main front entrance for all student drop-offs.
Upcoming Dates
Monday, September 21: School Improvement Day (No School for Students)
There will be no school for students on Monday, September 21st due to a District School Improvement Day. Our teachers will be engaged in professional learning to enhance classroom instruction.
