Dear Kenwood Families,
Happy Friday! It has been an exciting and event-filled week here at Kenwood.
During our monthly STAR student assemblies, we were proud to celebrate our students for their achievements in academics, citizenship, most improved effort, and for demonstrating our core focus of being a good friend. We also took time during the assembly to recognize the Kenwood PTA for reaching their $5,000 fundraising goal! Thank you to all of our Kenwood families for your incredible generosity—these funds will directly benefit our students and teachers. To celebrate hitting this target, Ms. Megginson and I happily took a pie to the face, to the delight of everyone in attendance!
We also had a fantastic turnout for last night’s Kenwood PTA Trunk or Treat, making it one of the largest we have had in recent memory.
Looking ahead, this weekend marks our Kenwood Community Playground Build. A huge thank-you to all the volunteers who signed up to donate their time and help build. Once the initial construction is finished, a rubber safety surface will be installed, and we hope to officially open the new playground in the coming weeks.
Wishing a safe and happy Halloween to everyone participating!
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Dr. Trevor Nadrozny
Principal
